The bee trademark, besides of honey, are the wax hexagons, which are essentially storage space for the bees. They are used for storing honey, pollen and also larvae. Beeswax is cut out directly from the beehive and it is placed in honey which keeps it conserved. Chewing beeswax is recomended, since it preserves and fortifies gums, and its healing properties suppress the occurrence of caries. It is recomended not to swallow beeswax after all the honey has been sucked out of it.
